We are so excited to announce that we are about to launch our new blog!! We have enjoyed the simplicity of this one but as our business has grown so have our expectations of what a blog should be.

Just wait until you see it... There will be larger pictures, more categories, better links, easier commenting and it will be more interactive! Expect more postings about wedding ideas, new vendors in the vicinity, what we are up to, frequently asked questions and on and on.

Oh, to have sunny days in January... With the snow falling outside as I post these, it's hard to believe it was a balmy 45 degrees and sunny last Monday when we did this shoot!! At least we have the pictures to prove it!

Andrea and her boys wanted to surprise their dad for Valentine's Day with some fun pictures at the park... I wonder if the boys have been able to keep the secret?!  Only two-and-a-half weeks to go, guys!!

Okay, we're sure everyone's noticed the slight lapse in blogging lately, no?  Well, we actually have a pretty good excuse - we are expecting a baby in June!! Needless to say, we've been a bit busy and overwhelmed with all the planning, but we're finally ready to get back into the swing of things and post on a regular basis.  We promise. :)

On that note, we thought we'd let you all know that we'll be taking Mid-May through the end of June off for maternity (& paternity;) leave... March and April are already getting busy for family & baby portrait sessions, (not to mention all those engagement shoots) so be sure to book early and reserve a time for your spring pictures!!

There was a small window of opportunity for this shoot to happen last Sunday. Sally and I had the live radar maps up on the laptop watching as a large rain mass was barreling down on Seattle. We had till 4. We called Priya and Suneet that morning and decided to take a chance on it. We bought umbrellas along the way just in case:)

We all met at Gasworks and shot quickly while moving briskly from one location to the next just to stay warm. Our fingers were cold but at least we got to keep our coats on! I applaud the bravery of these two, anything for the perfect shot. Even if that's risking potential frost bite. The breeze off of Lake Union was bone chilling, I can still feel it, brrr. (seriously, I'm actually shivering).

On to Priya's alma mater (and mine), UW, where we continued the fun, laugh-filled shoot until we could all take it no more. Filled up on Priya's homebaked chocolate chip cookies and stoked on their wedding plans we parted ways. An hour later it started snowing, hard! No wonder it was so cold.

Priya and Suneet are getting married in August and are having a traditional Indian wedding. We are so excited and feel very fortunate to be a part of their celebration. Suneet gets to ride in on a Horse...I'm not kidding! Congrats you guys, looking forward to it!
