Oh My Deer {let's go shopping!}

I found Oh My Deer when I was checking out the lovely Chelsea & Tec's gorgeous wedding pictures on Jose Villa's blog. When I saw the fabulous hair pieces she makes, I just had to have one... and it totally inspired us for our test shoot with Amy & Tim (see below:).  It was the perfect addition, and I'm so happy to have had the chance to use something completely unique when styling the shoot.

Check out Chelsea's Etsy shop to see more of her beautiful handmade accessories... and while you're at it, check out her husband's work, too (he's a photographer) - if you can stand it that one couple has that much talent;)!!

More pictures from Amy & Tim's seaside test shoot are coming soon!

Sheri & Ron {cannon beach}

My parents met up with Sally and I down in Cannon Beach along with their two pugs Chopper and Daisy. We had intended to do a more formal portrait session with them but when you have two dogs on a huge beach plans just have to change. Eventually we corralled them to be a part of the shoot and afterwards sat down on the logs and took in the sun before heading home.

Here are a few of our favorites of my parents at the beach. And, of course, some of the dogs! We had a great time and are looking forward to another portrait sesson with them. Look at how much fun they are having, those aren't fake smiles:)

Thanks for taking us you guys, we love you!!

Just a little something from us to you:)

Cannon Beach {R&R}

I turned 30 this year, gulp, yes...the big 3 0hhhh! My parents sent Sally and I to Cannon Beach as a present and by the time we were finally able to go it was closer to our Anniversary than my Birthday. Regardless of what we were really celebrating, we finally were able to deflate a little and get some of the elusive R&R. Rest and Relaxation.

I don't know if I ever understood what could be so wonderful about taking a vacation where the sole purpose was to do nothing. No world famous sites, no Renaissance art, no flying buttresses...just a very long, sandy beach! Ahhh...and lots of food.

What a great way to spend our 2nd Anniversary! We came back energized again and ready to get back into the grind again. Now all we can think about is going back, so much for getting back into the grind! Thanks Mom and Dad, it was great!

Brad & Katie {married}

I know, I know...we've posted 4 times about Brad & Katie but we've finally reached the final one, and, it's the longest posting we've ever done. Remember to click on each picture because it resizes much, much larger!

Brad and the guys were hanging around waiting for the ladies to arrive when the subject of the altar came up. When I first saw it I thought it was one provided by Ohme Gardens. Nope. Brad made it, he "...whittled it out of beechwood" Ok, couldn't resist that 'Meet the Parents' reference but c'mon, really! Who makes their own altar? It looked amazing at the end of the aisle with the steep backdrop and Wenatchee in the distance below.

Katie arrived in a Porsche and was ushered towards the entrance to the gardens with an entourage of close friends wearing different shades and styles of green dresses. Everyone looked amazing as we climbed through the winding paths of Ohme. The girls (and I) hung out in this little alcove until we were retrieved and led to a hidden pool where they were about to be ushered from. Yes, a hidden pool.

Accompanied by a few hundred close friends and the sound of a harp, the ceremony went off beautifully with Katie and Brad standing under the handmade altar. After a few quick pictures of the couple we all packed up and headed to Cashmere for the reception! I could go on and on about how great the reception was and how hilarious their friends are but this posting is long enough without my verbose recollection of it all! Without further ado, here are Katie and Brad! (keep going, this post is so long it goes to the next page!)
